Energy Industry
The provision of energy is essential for sustainable economic growth in any country. We focus on energy generation, transmission and distribution, not only conventional sources of generation but alternative energy where we specialize in solar, wind and hydro energy. Apart from providing this service to government institutions such as Eskom and municipal power utilities, we also provide services to the private sector in internal power generation and establish facilities to supplement the national grid.
Housing Industry
The provision of adequate housing and the eradication of the housing backlog is one of South Africa’s biggest challenges. Although the Government is committed to providing sustainable human settlements to improve the quality of household life for the poor, we need to bridge the gap and accelerate the provision of infrastructure. We have significant experience in developing housing sector plans, the design and development of infrastructure services and defining housing backlogs in provinces and municipalities. We are involved in various integrated housing development projects ensuring that community needs are taken into account through various public participation and community engagement initiatives. Sonas puts a great deal of emphasis on environmentally acceptable buildings in regard to energy-wise management, and also on sustainable property development, management and maintenance aspects.
